Place Value
We will begin our year studying Place Value in math. We will learn the value of each digit up to the millions place. We will learn different forms of writing numbers and practice these by writing a check for a new car! This will be part of our performance assessment for our e-math unit. We will also be comparing numbers by using some of the surrounding counties' populations. Here is another fun site to practice matching standard form to expanded form. This is a fun game to test your skills. This site offers several games to practice our skills learned using place value.
This is a review game for place value that I created. This website will provide some great practice on rounding.

Our new topic in science will be light. We will learn how light behaves. On this website when it asks you to register just click Maybe Later. We will learn how it travels. We will also learn how to separate white light into the colors of the rainbow. During the unit on light we will also learn about shadows.
It's the season for all things Christmas. Have fun. Maybe you would like to travel to the North Pole.
